Privacy Policy

Last updated September 12, 2026.

Aetherbound is an experience layer for AI-generated and reconstructed 3D scenes. This page describes what we collect and how we use it.

Analytics

We store a "reduce motion" preference in your browser's local storage, on your device only. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate traffic counts — it's cookieless and sets no persistent identifier. We don't run ad trackers or other third-party tracking scripts. See Cookies for detail.

Put Me Back In My Childhood (Experimental)

Opens October 10, 2026.

You give us one photo. We use it to reconstruct a 3D room. Your photo is deleted the moment the room is built — we don't retain it afterward, don't use it to train anything, and don't repurpose it for any other reason.

Whimsical Worlds — code-only generation

Sign-in required. Your typed prompt is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to be compiled into the parameters that build your world or avatar, and passed through an automated safety check before anything is generated. Your prompt text is stored, tied to your account, alongside the generated result — email us (below) to request deletion of a specific prompt. Generated worlds and avatars are code (a compact set of parameters), not video or images. Every account gets 2 free generations this way, then it costs credits.

Put Me Inside a World — Ultra Realistic (Beta)

Opens October 10, 2026.

Your text prompt is sent to our rendering pipeline (Anthropic's Claude API for compilation, then a video-generation provider) to produce a world, and costs credits.

Accounts & sign-in

Sign-in is handled by Clerk, a third-party authentication provider. Clerk processes your email and sign-in credentials under its own privacy policy; we only receive a verified user identifier, never your password. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your verified email and basic profile information with Clerk/Aetherbound under Google's own account-linking terms — we never see or store your Google password.

Public profile & Community

Your display name and avatar come from your sign-in account. Anything you add to your profile — bio, social links — is shown publicly. Free (code-only) generations are shared in Community by default; credit-funded generations are private unless you choose to share them. Follows and blocks are visible to the accounts involved.

Storage

Generated artefacts — world/avatar data, and video/depth output for Ultra Realistic — are stored using Cloudflare R2, a third-party cloud storage provider, under our account.

Payments

Credit purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details directly — we never see or store your full card number. We retain a record of the purchase (amount, credits granted, date) tied to your account.

Your rights

We don't retain photos, and we don't build an advertising profile of you. We do retain your generation prompts and results, tied to your account, as described above — email us to request deletion of a specific prompt or your account record.
